Laïtus Prime is the homeworld of the Iron Wolves, the Space Marines of the Chapter I've created for Epic 40k. It's on this wild world the Iron Wolves secretly recruit their new members. The main periodical of the planet is the Laïtus Prime Tribune which is read by most of the people.
LPT (Laïtus Prime Tribune) is the sucessor of the L'ORDinateur's Home Page (LHP), my webpage dedicated to Epic from Games Workshop. During the LHP period, the Laïtus Prime Tribune was a page where visitors could check the last news about LHP (new updates, last battle reports and other stuff) in the form of a newspaper. I wanted this concept to be the heart of the organization of my new site : you can see the result now and I hope that you'll like it.
The objective of LPT is to supply Epic players with data, scenarios, ideas, in brief all what can help them to improve their battles.
So I've reorganized the site by removing the specific pages (Epic 40k, Epic SM/TL and Epic Escarmouches) and by mixing the different articles from each version. I've got a good reason for this : if the game systems of SM/TL and Epic 40k are totally different, the general ideas are very close and could be easily applicable for each version, I think that a SM/TL player can be inspired by reading Epic 40k articles and vice versa.
Likewise, I've removed the LHP's "What's New Page" and I've integrated all the news in the main page. There are two reasons for this change. Firstly, the concept of the old "What's New Page" was not very exciting, it was a stupid list of news without any personality. In LPT, I will now present the news in the main page in the form of newspaper articles or of advertisements, this is much more lively. The second reason was that I wanted the news about the site to be seen from the first glance.
Another change is the massive arrival of frames. I didn't use them in LHP but they are now omnipresent in LPT. They allow a fast and simple interface.
The last but not least change is the update frequency of the site : LPT is now updated (roughly) bi-monthly because I want to have time to make my updates correctly and also because I'll have less and less time to work on them (new job). But don't worry, this change is not the first step of the death of my site, if I've wanted my updates to become less frequent it is only to go on my work on Epic...
You'll note that if the general design of the site has changed, I've kept my presentation based on black and green (at least for the main pages) : I know some people who think that the main LHP presentation was ugly but I hope that I've improved it enough to correct this problem. Now don't worry, all the other pages use a white background and are clearly legible.
That's it, I hope that you like these changes. :o)
